Liverpool Local Plan
Liverpool City Council now welcomes your view on the Submission
Draft Local Plan. The Local Plan will be a new statutory plan to
guide development in the City over the next 15 to 20 years. It
will replace the Liverpool Unitary Development Plan which has been
in use since 2002.
The Publication Draft Local Plan consultation seeks the views of
local residents, key stakeholders and other interested parties as
to whether the Liverpool Local Plan is 'sound' and legally compliant.
It is important that you contribute to help shape the Local Plan
to protect our parks and green spaces in the planning system. Visit
the Planning Portal here to comment before the 9 March 2018 deadline.
Village Green
LOGS have helped to prepare the Town or Village Green Application
for the green space at the Beechley Estate. It is expected this
application will be considered in June 2018.
Good News for Sefton Park Meadows
'Sefton Park Meadows is SAVED - Mayor Joe says
no houses to be built' is the headline in the Liverpool Echo
on the 19th January 2018. Read this feature from the Echo's
web site. Also reported on the BBC
News web site. However the campaign to Save Sefton Park Meadows
reserves judgment until evidence of protection for the Meadowlands
and other green space is written into the forthcoming planning policy
of the Local Plan.
Allerton Priory - Public Inquiry Inspector favour
Redrow's housing plans
Redrow development plans for the Green Wedge land
at Allerton Priory was considered at a Public Inquiry which ended
on the 24th November 2017. The inquiry Inspector's decision supported
the Redrow plan due to lack of evidence that Liverpool had an adequate
housing supply. A report reviewing the inquiry proceedings can be
